4. Receiving your first Quotes

Learn how to manage and respond to customer quote requests in TailorQuote

Once your calculator is live, you'll start receiving quote requests from customers. Here's how to manage and respond to these valuable leads.

The Quote Flow

When a customer submits a quote through your calculator:

  1. Customer sees confirmation - Thank you message appears
  2. Quote is created - Stored in your TailorQuote account
  3. Email sent to customer - Professional quote with unique link
  4. You're notified - If notifications are enabled
  5. Quote appears in dashboard - Ready for your action

Accessing Your Quotes

Navigate to Quotes in your team workspace sidebar to see all quote requests.

Quote List View

The Quotes page displays:

  • Customer Name - Who requested the quote
  • Total Amount - Calculated quote value
  • Status - Current quote status
  • Payment Status - If payments are tracked
  • Date - When submitted
  • Actions - Quick actions available

Quote Statuses

TailorQuote tracks quotes through these statuses:

  • Draft - Quote created but not finalized
  • Sent - Quote sent to customer
  • Accepted - Customer accepted (won)
  • Rejected - Customer declined (lost)
  • Expired - Quote validity period passed
  • Cancelled - Quote was cancelled

Viewing Quote Details

Click on any quote to see complete information:

Customer Information

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (if provided)
  • Company name (if provided)

Quote Content

  • Selected products
  • Quantities
  • Individual pricing
  • Configuration details
  • Any custom inputs

Pricing Summary

  • Line items with prices
  • Subtotal
  • Tax (if configured)
  • Total amount

Quote Link

Each quote has a unique public URL that:

  • Works without login (secure UUID)
  • Can be shared with stakeholders
  • Shows professional quote page
  • Updates with current status

Managing Quote Status

Quick Actions

From the quote list, you can quickly:

Mark as Won

Click Mark as Won to indicate successful conversion:

  • Updates status to "accepted"
  • Tracks in your won revenue
  • Helps measure conversion rate

Mark as Lost

Click Mark as Lost for unsuccessful quotes:

  • Updates status to "rejected"
  • Helps identify improvement areas
  • Tracks lost opportunity value
